- Experimental application To determine the aggregate impact value (AIV) which provides a relative measure of the resistance of an aggregate to sudden shock or impact. Technical details Aggregate Impact Value (AIV) Testing Apparatus BS 812. Shall be made from corrosion-resistant steel. The complete set shall be supplied with: - a counter fitted to the machine automatically records the number of blows delivered to the sample, Cylindrical Measure: 75 mm diameter with 50 mm height. Steel Tamping Rod: 16 mm diameter & 600 mm length.
