U-shaped well balanced heavy base with 90° inclinable body. Stage 110x110mm with 2 stage clips. Separate coarse & fine focusing knob for body tube. Coarse focusing by rack & pinion mechanism with rack stop to prevent damage to slides. Triple revolving nose piece with accurate paracentring and identical repeated settings. Illumination is by Plano concave mirror of 50mm diameter. Stage is fitted with iris diaphragm to control the aperture.
