The equipment shall be a fully operational Common Rail Direct Injection (CRDI) diesel engine training simulator intended for automotive technical education, diagnostics, and fault-finding.
The unit shall enable clear observation, testing, and diagnosis of the main CRDI diesel engine systems while maintaining operator safety.

Minimum Technical Configuration
The simulator must include at minimum:
4-cylinder electronically controlled diesel engine Engine displacement approximately 1.6 L to 2.0 L Common rail diesel injection system
Engine control unit (ECU) Battery and electrical circuitry
Fuel reservoir or equivalent training fuel supply arrangement Cooling system
Intake and exhaust systems Starter motor and alternator Diagnostic connector
Accelerator pedal or engine speed control input
Accessible measurement terminals connected to key sensors and actuators
Training Functions
The simulator must allow training on at minimum: CRDI diesel engine starting and running
Common rail fuel injection system operation ECU inputs and outputs
Fuel rail pressure monitoring and diagnosis Intake air temperature measurement Coolant temperature measurement Accelerator pedal / engine demand input Glow plug operation
Injector testing and diagnosis Alternator / charging system operation
Diagnostic fault reading and troubleshooting

Equivalent layouts are acceptable if they provide the same training functions.
Fault Simulation
The simulator shall be capable of simulating multiple CRDI system faults through a dedicated fault insertion module, control panel, switch bank, or equivalent method.
