SPECIFICATION

55860 Experimental Set-up has been designed specifically to determine E.C.E. of copper and reduction factor of a Helmholtz galvanometer. The set-up consists of Copper Voltameter, Helmholtz Galvanometer, Battery eliminator, Reversing key etc.
The set-up is complete in all respect and requires no other apparatus. Practical experience on this set-up carries great educative value for Science and Engineering Students.

OBJECT
  1. To determine Electro-Chemical Equivalent of copper and reduction factor of a Helmholtz Galvanometer.

FEATURES
The Complete Experimental Set-up consists of the following :
  1. Copper Voltmeter.
  2. Helmholtz Galvanometer : Having two coils exactly parallel to each other so connected that current passes around them in the same direction. Two coils increase the uniformity of the field. Complete with Pye type Bakelite compass box and with windings of 2,50 and 500 turns.
  3. Battery Eliminator : 0-5V D.C. at 3A, continuously variable regulated and short circuit protected.
  4. Reversing Key.
  5. Adequate no. of connecting wires, 100cm long.
  6. Strongly supported by detailed Operating Instructions, giving details of Object, Theory, Design procedures, Report Suggestions and Book References.
