Educational antenna training system:
The system is required to have the following items:
A) Antennas set 1: The following antennas are required with the following specs:
*operating frequency: min= 0.5 GHz & max= 1.5 GHz
A.1 Half-wavelength Dipole
A.2 Dipole (length greater than Half-wavelength)
A.3 Folded Dipole with Balun
A.4 Monopole over ground plane
A.5 Circular loop
A.6 Square loop
A.7 Yagi antenna (fixed with more than three elements)
A.8 Adjustable Yagi antenna
A.9 Log-periodic antenna (2 antennas)
A.10 drooping monopole (2 antennas)
B) Antennas set 2: The following antennas are required with the following specs:
*operating frequency: min= 8 GHz & max= 12 GHz
B.1 open-ended waveguide
B.2 slotted waveguide
B.3 Horn antenna with small aperture
B.4 Horn antenna with large aperture (2 antennas)
B.5 Helical antenna (left-handed polarization)
B.6 Helical antenna (right-handed polarization) (2 antennas)
B.7 Single rectangular patch antenna
B.8 paralled fed array of patch antennas
B.9 series fed array of patch antennas
C) RF Generators: note: items C.1 and C.2 can be two independent generators in the same device or two different devices.
C.1: RF Generator 1:
*operating frequency: min= 0.5 GHz & max= 1.5 GHz
*The operating frequency can be tuned (at least 200 MHz tuning range)
*It must be compatible with all the antennas in the antennas set 1.
C.2: RF Generator 2:
*operating frequency: min= 8 GHz & max= 12 GHz
*It must be compatible with all the antennas in the antennas set 2.
D) Antenna support
* it is a mount for the fixed (transmitting) antenna. *It should come with different adapters to mount different types of antennas.
E) Receiving system it is required to contain the following:
* a mast to hold the receiving antenna
* a drive motor to rotate the mast
*shaft encoder
* sma connector at the base of the mast to connect the
antenna
*signal detector with a variable attenuator
* data acquisition interface to enable computer control
of the receiving system through USB.
*all the accessories and parts for RCS measurement
* power supply with standard 220-240 V, 50 Hz single
phase AC outlet
F) Accessories
F.1 waveguide to SMA conncectors to be connected to items B.1,B.2,B.3,B.4
F.2 storage cabinet for storing the antennas
F.3 Cables compatible with the antennas to connect them to RF generator and the receiving system
F.4 cables to connect the receiving system to data acquisition interface
G) Two-element phasing items
G.1 Antenna mast with vertical mounting clip (in addition to the one in item E)
G.2 power combiner/splitter
G.3 30 cm RF cable
G.4 35.4 cm RF cable
G.5 40.8 cm RF cable
RF Near-Field H-Field Probe :
near field probe for magnetic fields
*minimum frequency: min value: 10 MHz, max value: 50 MHz
*maximum frequency: min value: 6 GHz, max value:10 GHz
*resolution: min value: 0.5 mm, max value:1 mm
*probe head radius: min value: 1 mm, max value:3 mm
* calibration data shouldbe provided to enable the conversion of raw probe readings into H-field values (In A/m or Tesla).
*must measure the magnetic field along a single axis for precise directional measurements.
* this probe must be easy to integrate with measurement setups that include network analyzers.
*connector must be SMA (perferably female)
RF Near-Field E-Field Probe:
*near field probe for electric fields 1
*minimum frequency: min value: 10 MHz, max value:50 MHz
*maximum frequency: min value: 3 GHz, max value:6 GHz
*resolution: min value: 1 mm, max value:5 mm
*probe head radius: min value: 1 mm, max value:3 mm
*calibration data should be provide to enable the
conversion of raw probe readings into E-field values (In V/m).
*must measure the electric field along a single axis for precise directional measurements.

Pre-Amplifier:
