• Modular physical I/O Panel with switches, push-buttons, indicator lights, relays, and optionally analog devices (potentiometers, analog sensors) to simulate real industrial I/O.
• Programming software to support a development environment for PLC programming (e.g., ladder logic, function block, structured text) that's relevant to the PLC used.
• Communication and networking capabilities: enable data transmission via ethernet to teach networked control, distributed 1/0, and communication between PLCs or human machine interface (HMI).
• Human-Machine Interface (HMI): Either a built-in small HMI panel or support for connecting an external HMI.
• Physical Process Modules/Training Experiments: Built-in training modules or "application experiments": for example, traffic-light control, motor forward/reverse, water-level control, elevator simulation, packing plant, etc.
