Electrical characteristics

  1. A 240V +/- 10%, 50Hz/60Hz electrical source 
  2. Protection against over-voltage and over-current line conditions
  3. Compliance with applicable current IEE regulations, EC directives, Sri Lankan standards, and regulations. All associated components shall carry the CE marking on them. 
  4. The equipment shall have Protection against electric shock “Class” 1.

Components
The unit shall consist of 

  1. Anodized aluminium frame and panels made of  painted steel. 
  2. The unit includes wheels to facilitate its mobility. 
  3. Main metallic elements in stainless steel. 
  4. Diagram in the front panel with similar distribution to the elements in the real unit. 
  5. Hermetic compressor: 
  6. Displacement: 3.4 cm3
  7. Power: 1/10 CV.
  8. Accumulator tank to avoid a malfunction of the compressor; Capacity: 1.2 l.
  9. Liquid separator to prevent liquid from entering the compressor; Capacity: 0.9 l. 
  10. Six stand-alone, ready-to-operate modules, each mounted on a plate.
  11. Two manometers with temperature scale for the refrigerant:
  12. High-pressure manometer. Range: -1 to 30 bar / -60 to 80 ºC.
  13. Low-pressure manometer. Range: -1 to 10 bar / -60 to 50 ºC.
  14. Enthalpy diagram of the R-134a refrigerant. 
  15. Connection of the components with flexible hoses. 
  16. The unit has been designed to be used with environmentally friendly CFC-free R-134a refrigerant. 
  17. Cables and accessories, for normal operation.

Module 1: Evaporator as an air-refrigerant heat exchanger and capillary tube: 
a. Finned tube heat exchanger. CC

Module 2: Evaporator as a water-refrigerant heat exchanger and capillary tube: 
a. Nickel-plated copper coil formed by nine spirals of 1/4” diameter, through which the refrigerant circulates. The heat transmission area is 0.032 m2
b. Polypropylene water tank (up to 170 ºC) and capacity: 2000 ml.
c. Capillary expansion tube.
Module 3: Condenser as air-refrigerant heat exchanger: 
a. Finned tube heat exchanger. 
b. Fan. 
Module 4: Condenser as water-refrigerant heat exchanger: 
a. Nickel-plated copper coil formed by nine spirals of 1/4” diameter, through which the refrigerant circulates. The heat transmission area is 0.032 m2
b. Polypropylene water tank (up to 170 ºC) and capacity: 2000 ml.
Module 5
a. Flow meter. Range: 3 – 17.5 l/h.
b. Filter for the refrigerant.
c. Sight glass for the refrigerant.
Module 6: Double pressure control and manometers:
