Soil Dispersion Mixer
- Description : The Soil Dispersion Mixer shall be a high-speed mechanical mixer specifically designed for dispersing soil samples in a liquid medium prior to hydrometer analysis or other fine particle testing. It must meet the specifications required for compliance with ASTM D7928 and/or AASHTO T88.
- Key Feature • Laboratory-grade, high-speed soil dispersion mixer/blender
- Stainless steel container with minimum 1- liter (1000 mL) capacity
- Sealed lid to prevent spillage during mixing
- Must efficiently disperse cohesive soil samples with minimal heat generation
- Designed for continuous operation for at least 15 minutes
- Easy-to-clean container and blades
- Performance Requirements
- Speed: Capable of operating at 10,000 to 12,000 rpm (±500 rpm) as per ASTM D7928
- Run Time: Timer-controlled operation with at least 0–15 minute setting
- Noise Level: ≤85 dB preferred
- Motor and Power • Motor Type: High-torque, heavy-duty motor suitable for soil suspensions
- Power Supply: 220V / 50–60 Hz, single- phase
- Motor protection: Overload protection or thermal fuse preferred
- Electrical safety compliant with IEC/CE standards
