SPECIFICATION

55736 Experimental Set Up has been designed specifically to find the value of modulus of rigidity 'h' of material of the given wire with Maxwell's needle.
Practical experience on this set up carries great educative  value  for  Science  and  Engineering Students.

OBJECT
  1. To determine the value of modulus of rigidity 'h' of material of the given wire with Maxwell's needle.

FEATURES
The Set up consists of :
  1. Maxwell's  needle,  consisting of a hollow cylindrical brass tube of length 40 cm suspended by a wire whose modulus of rigidity is to be determined. The tube is open at both ends. The hollow tube is filled with four brass cylinders two solid and two hollow, each having 10 cm length and same radii. It is fitted with wire Chuck and  mirror. Complete  with  wall  attachment without stand.
  2. 1 Meter Hard steel wire.
  3. Strongly supported by detailed Operating Instructions, giving details of Object, Theory, Design procedures, Report Suggestions and Book References.
